News : Imperial 80th Squad Adopts New Logo

The Imperial 80th Squad members have voted unanimously to adopt a new squad logo. The new logo was designed by squad member Sam Cheek (TK-3808).

The new logo was designed to better fit the mission of the squad. The Imperial "Lambda" class shuttle symbolizes the squads willingness to travel to support the 501st Legion and the Central Garrison. The Aurabesh text translates to "Strength Through Unity" which is a cornerstone of the squad. It also signifies the unity that the squad shares with our home garrison. The dual cogs (Republic/Imperial) are a direct reference to the image in the Central Garrison logo. The Imperial 80th Squad is here to support the larger garrison and this support is directly reflected in the new logo design. The Imperial 80th Squad is proud to present our new logo:
The 501st Legion is a worldwide Star Wars costuming organization comprised of and operated by Star Wars fans. While it is not sponsored by Lucasfilm Ltd., it is Lucasfilm's preferred Imperial costuming group. Star Wars, its characters, costumes, and all associated items are the intellectual property of Lucasfilm.
