The Imperial 80th Squad, in support of the Central Garrison and 501st Legion attended a birthday party for a couple of local children and received an unexpected present.

Saturday, March 8th 2008 will be a day long remembered. What began as the celebration of two young children (5 and 6 years old) turned into a day of surprises for both the families attending the party as well as the troopers who participated.

Upon arrival at the party troopers were informed by our most generous host that a charity donation of $1000 was being made in the name of the 501st Legion to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Some troopers have speculated that this is, to date, the largest single contribution ever made in the garrison on behalf of the 501st Legion.

The troopers in attendance included Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Boba Fett, six stormtroopers, two scout troopers and one handler. The children were presented with Honorary 501st Legion Cadet Certificates and their own personal lightsabers by Darth Vader himself.

Happy Birthday, Cameron (5) and Jules (6)!
